Triple Murder In Pensacola Is Linked to Wiccan Rituals
The Sheriff Department of Escambia, Florida has an odd murder case on their hands, reportedly linked to Wiccan rituals, witchcraft and the July 31st blue moon.
In their home in Pensacola, a mother and her two sons were found slaughtered in what the Sheriff’s Department described as a ‘ritualistic killing’. Voncile Smith, aged 77, as well as her sons, John Smith, aged 49 and Richard Smith, aged 47 were found in their home on July 31st.
All victims presented the same signs of having been beaten almost to death with a claw hammer and their throats having been cut open.
Richard Smith was reported missing by one of his coworkers with the Department of Homeland Security, which led to police to investigate the home of the three.
The case is certainly eerie, as the Sheriff of Escambia County, David Morgan declared for Reuters:
“We have a very reclusive family. Obviously, we’ve canvassed the neighbourhood, spoken to people who’ve lived there for years and years. Neighbors have related to us that they’ve never met the members of this family”.
Another account, this time coming from the spokesman of the Escambia County Sheriff Office, Andrew Hobbes relates that the killing is believed to be a Wiccan ritual killing. At the same time, the rare blue moon occurring three days after the victims’ deaths is believed to be a key factor in the investigation.
Sheriff David Morgan went on to declare for the Pensacola News Journal that:
“The method of the murder – blunt force trauma, slit throats, positioning of the bodies – and our person of interest has some ties to a faith or religion that is indicative of that. The time of death on Tuesday also coincides with what’s referred to as a blue moon, which occurs every three years”.
Further details will be released as the investigation continues. For now, the crime remains enveloped in an eerie, unsettling mystery.
