The World Has Yet To Give Up On Jon Snow
Do we really know nothing? Is Jon Snow really dead? He might be, but we know for a fact that dead men can walk again in Game of Thrones. While both the last book and the latest season have left readers and viewers on the cliffhanger of their lives, the world has yet to give up on Jon Snow. The bastard of Winterfell has been seen fighting in a scene that pretty much looks like the climax of Season 6.
But this piece of news did not emerge based on some random internet user’s rattle, it was confirmed by the well-known fan site Watchers on the Wall. The site claims it has reasons to think that a great battle is filmed in Northern Ireland and Kit Harrington has been spotted in the fight along with Ramsay Bolton, played by Iwan Rheon. Can the most epic scene in the season be the battle of two bastards?
There are a lot of rumors concerning Jon Snow’s fate. While the directors have claimed numerous times that Snow is “deader than dead”, the so-called son of Eddard Stark has made his appearance so many times that we are beginning to understand that this is a lie. But the real question remains: how can Jon Snow make a plausible reappearance?
Book theories claim that Snow ”warged” into his wolf Ghost after being stabbed multiple times, others seem to have gotten used to the idea that he is dead for good, but we suspect one event that occurred in Game of Thrones some years ago that will bring Snow back or, more specifically, the revealing of one person: Baeric Dondarrion.
In the book, Dondarrion was resurrected several times before he finally gave his life for the zombified Catelyn Stark, later known as Lady Stoneheart. Dondarrion might not give his life for Jon Snow, but his revealing showed us that resurrection is an official thing in Game of Thrones. At the same time, the books showed us that resurrection cannot being the same person back, but something else. Catelyn Stark, in the books, is quite dead, Lady Stoneheart is someone else.
So, while the sights of Jon Snow may prove to be very poorly kept secret, the directors might be right: Snow is dead. Harrington might play something else entirely: a White Walker or the Night’s King.
But this is only speculation. We want to leave it here, for the time being, and let your imagination flow. What if Jon Snow really is dead?
