Star Trek’s Turbolift Will Soon Land on Your Hallway

A UK-based company had this wonderful idea to reinvent Star Trek’s Turbolift and make it available for consumers all over the world. The rectangular box acts as your private elevator and will successfully replace stairlifts or even the overrated concept of stairs themselves. This will be done by creating a simple and rather affordable (or not quite) lift that you will be able to put in a corner of your room or on your hallway.

A hole in the ceiling and maybe moving your furniture is all you need, as the device does not require the already outdated lift shaft to support it. The official name of this rather authentic invention is Lifestyle Home Elevator and proves to be extremely helpful for old people. This little compact and highly useful thing could help elderly carry on living in a four story townhouse without any kind of trouble. If you own a little palace, you can offer it a modern face lift by placing the Star Trek Turbolift in your living room.

According to its official description, it can handle up to 39 stones and has a battery backup so no one can get stuck in the event of a power cut. Whenever you feel like going wild around your house, take a trip up with the Lifestyle Home Elevator and get out of your daily routine.

The inventor calls it “a high end chair lift”. The amazing thing about it is that you can basically uninstall it whenever you get bored of it or if you think it takes up too much space around your house. Unlike a stairlift which is a permanent feature on your staircase, this special innovation is completely removable and just like in sci-fi movies, it can be made completely invisible.

Well, the contemporary Turbolift has other very practical features that make it highly useful. The home elevator is designed with a pressure sensitive bottom panel along with safety edges that stop it when anything in the way can interfere and break it or prevent it from functioning properly.

The downside about it is that it does not come at a very affordable price and installation can take up to 4 or 5 days. Remember those times when we were looking with eyes wide open and all the amazement buttons pressed at full pressure, at the wonderful settings that used to make up the alternative sci-fi world of Star Trek? Well, coming back from the future, Star Trek’s Turbolift will soon land on your hallway.

All reviews praise it and so far the company has exported 200 lifts to European countries such as Australia, China and
