Obama Is Skeptical About The Russian Shoot-Down

Obama is skeptical about the Russian shoot-down. Or at least that’s how he seems. It would be no surprise if the President of the United States felt this way, especially because Putin’s full support of anti-terrorism comes in such an ideal moment. Obama believes that the entire shoot-down problem derives from greater issues that Russia has and has been having for quite some time now: lack of transparency. Russia is definitely playing games behind everyone’s back.

As you might already know, a Russian plane was shot down at the Turkey border and that is the reason why Putin vowed to join forces with the United States in Countering terrorism. But we are talking about a president who had just declared that Syria needs help in order to re-establish its inner balance just weeks before, a Vladimir Putin who we remember how comfortable was feeling close to Obama, while the latter had a “this is totally not ok” face during his proximity to Putin.

The world very much expects Vladimir Putin to make some serious moves in order to prove his claim to power, but the shoot-down in Turkey is rather suspect. Both countries have released information proving that each other are guilty, which indicates that, somewhere and somehow, somebody is wrong. Each country blames the other for violating rules and this requires further investigation, which America will also conduct on the matter.

For the time being, Turkey claims that the Russian plane has received numerous warnings before being shot down. Turkish authorities have also released an audio recording in which you can hear how the Russian plane receives numerous requests to turn back before entering the Turkish air zone without permission. Things got odd when both countries released maps of the plane’s position, claiming that there was a reason, or no reason, for the shoot down. These maps show totally different things.

Obama is skeptical about the Russian shoot-down because he knows that Putin is playing dangerous games and the world needs to know what side Putin is actually on. Many claim that he is actually sponsoring terrorism and now he decided to fight it all of a sudden because he saw that it can backfire on Russia quite badly. So it is important to know whether Putin actually wants to fight against terrorism or if he is using it as an excuse for a greater purpose.
