New York Police Department is seeking help in identifying two male suspects who were seen beating a man on CCTV. According to the authorities, the NYC man was rendered unconscious after being sucker-punched, in broad daylight, by one of the two suspects.
NYC Man Loses Wallet, ID, and Cellphone After Attack
An NYPD spokesperson declared that the attack occurred on the 18th of June, just before after 6:00 a.m. The victim, an unnamed 37-year-old New York resident, has been admitted to the hospital with a skull fracture. A surveillance camera captured the attack.
To expedite the case, NYPD agents have made the footage public.
The footage begins with the victim being approached by two Hispanic men on a zebra crossing. Without being provoked, one of the suspects punches the NYC man twice in the head. The victim could be seen falling on the ground.
After the two men left, bystanders swarm around the victim. Instead of helping him, three of them looted his pockets. The authorities declared that the unidentified citizens took the man’s wallet and his cellphone.
A minute later, the attacker and his friend return to the crosswalk. After talking to one of the people who went through the man’s pockets, the individual takes out his smartphone and snaps a photo of the victim.
He moves in closer to take a close-up picture of the victim’s face. Another security camera captures the two men walking away from the crime scene and, apparently, gloating over what they did to the NYC man.
The victim was transported to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.
NYPD asked the public for help in identifying the individuals. Both seemed to have matching tattoos on their arms and to be of Hispanic descent. Citizens with info are asked to contact the authorities.
