A recent report developed by researchers from Loma Linda University has discovered that consuming walnuts, peanuts, or pistachio, works wonders for your brain. These products can improve your memory, general cognitive skills, brain healing, and learning capacities.
Nuts are good for your body and brain
Researchers have always advised people to consume as many nuts as possible, since they are extremely good for the health. Any type of nut has its benefits, so opting for a diversified diet can have a great impact on your brain skills.
If you choose pistachios, they will offer you one of the best gamma wave responses. These responses are associated with better learning skills and assimilation of information, boosted brain processing, and it facilitates REM sleep. The antioxidants maintain your health and keep cancer away
Researchers tested six different types of nuts, including walnuts, pecans, pistachios, peanuts, almonds, and cashews. What they did was to look at the levels of antioxidants they contained. All of them had plenty of these substances, but walnuts were the richest. Apart from boosting brain performance, they also issue a protective effect on the heart, slow down aging, and reduce inflammation and the risk of cancer.
Previous studies explored these beneficial effects of nuts, but they neglected their influence on the brain. Therefore, researchers developed this study, published in the FASEB Journal. Lee Berk, the main author of the study, recommends them as a healthy dietary choice.

Researchers fed these six types of nuts to several participants, and then confirmed their boosting effect to the brain function by measuring their brain signals with the help of electroencephalograms.
