Kayakers found the body of the 22-year-old pregnant woman killed by the North Dakota couple.
A North Dakota court of law will soon deliberate the case of a couple who murdered a pregnant woman in order to steal her child. The North Dakota couple stands accused of the August slaying of 22-year-old Savanna Greywind who was eight months pregnant at that time.
North Dakota Couple Throws Woman’s Body in River
38-year-old Brooke Crews and her boyfriend have taken their first stand in court, being accused of coaxing Savanna Greywind and killing her in order to steal her baby. Although the prosecutors have yet to define the terms of parole, Crews plead guilty to lying to authorities, conspiracy to commit abduction, and first-degree premeditated murder.
Crews hope that her testimony and plead will help her during the upcoming sentencing. As for the woman’s boyfriend, the authorities declared that the man decided to plead not guilty to the charges.
For the duration of the investigation, the authorities have decided not to offer any details about how Greywind died or how the North Dakota couple managed to get ahold of the baby.
According to court documents, Crews and 32-year-old William Hoehn, her boyfriend, managed to befriend neighbor Savanna Greywind. Several days later, a group of kayakers found the woman’s body floating on the river.
The investigator retracted the victim’s last step, and their searches led them to the North Dakota couple’s house. According to the officer who arrested the couple, when they’ve entered the house, Crews and Hoehn were in the process of cleaning blood stains from the floor.
Conclusion
A search of the house also revealed a pair of blood-covered shoes, a stained towel, and several other items belonging to the victim. When confronted with their deed, the North Dakota couple responded that the infant was their child, as the mother abandoned him.
