Ok, so we know that the love for the PlayStation is big these days, but would you actually steal one? The answer is yes, you can, but not being sought by the law. A man stole a PlayStation 4 this Monday from a GameStop shop located in Carle Place. The desire to play something on super high quality resolution was strong with this one and even if he is going to get caught, he will still enjoy a game or two on the most sought console in the world right now.
But if this looked funny until now, you will be pleased to know it gets better. It looks like the man who stole the PlayStation “distracted the clerk”, got the PlayStation and made a run for it. This is rather interesting if you think about it. How can one man distract another and steal the PlayStation without the other guy figuring it out? It is simply hilarious.
On top of that, the police declared that “the suspect fled in an unknown direction”. Gather all this information and add that the entire thing was captured on camera. Now you can laugh at how amusing this entire scenario is. But it is a PlayStation, after all, perhaps not even the police are treating it seriously. Either way, leaving giggles aside, they should pursue the suspect because a PlayStation 4 is not something you want to lose from a shop.
At the end of last week Sony released their figures for the PlayStation 4 sales and things look better than ever. With over 30 million consoles sold ever since the release back in 2013, the PlayStation is on its way to become one of the most successful consoles in Sony’s history. While they are still far away from the PlayStation 2’s 120 million device sale record, Sony can always hope that they will create a better device.
And it looks like this theft is also adding some publicity to the PS4. It would be a different thing if an Xbox or a Wii got stolen, but no! The PS 4 got stolen for a reason! Is it because it is the best console out there? It might just be! Sony could make a quick ad for it saying “PlayStation 4. So good that you want to steal it”.
In the end, a man stole a PlayStation 4 and the funniest thing is that we do not know if it is a bad thing or a good one.
