As of August 28th, iPhone users can ask Siri for hints regarding the details and the date of the event planned by Apple for the release of the new iPhone 6S.
The iPhone 6S design will not differ much from that of its predecessor. The device, once again, is rumored to come in two sizes. But as Apple’s highly anticipated September event is drawing near, new information appears.
The smartphone is expected to include the Force Touch technology, which detects the force of the finger tap and responds accordingly to its pressure. The hi-tech function was previously featured in the latest MacBook and it is an Apple exclusive technology. The device is rumored to come by a stronger aluminum case, just as the one found in the Apple Watch. This type of aluminum is part of their 7000 Series and it is said that it is much more resistant to breaking and bending the one they used in the iPhone 6.
The battery will be smaller in size but bigger in capacity than the one found in its predecessor. As for the design, apart from a few minor changes, the device will come with pre-installed moving backgrounds.
The company is usually holding their biggest events in San Francisco, at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, which can host up to 800 people. This year the venue will change, for Apple is planning to reveal the long awaited phone at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, which has a capacity of over 7,000. September 9th is the date scheduled by Apple for the official launch of their newest model.
Not only the company succeeded in renting the place for little more than a week, but it also managed to block all of the streets surrounding the venue. What has determined the company to prepare such a huge event? Will the iPhone 6S will be such an innovative leap compared to the previous iPhone models? It remains to be seen, as the anticipation is amplifying beyond proportion.
