Florida Mother Accused Son of Stealing Her Smartphone, Authorities Declared
As incredible as it sounds, a Florida mother became violent after her adult son left her hanging in the middle of an argument.
More than that, according to the authorities, the woman’s last words before being booked into the Bay County Jail were “I’ll be damned if I let him have the last word.”
On Saturday, the authorities were contacted by a Panama City Beach man who claimed having been fired upon by his distressed mother.
The authorities identified the shooter as 66-year-old Priscilla Ann Ethridge, who’s also a Panama Beach resident.
According to the Ethridge’s son’s testimony, the two of them were at home on Saturday, searching for Priscilla’s misplaced smartphone.
At one point, an argument erupted between the two, the Florida mother accusing her son of having stolen her smartphone.
Of course, the man told her that he didn’t steal her phone, but the woman wouldn’t believe him. Seeing that the argument wasn’t going anywhere, the man left the house, got on his bike, and pedaled home.
According to the authorities, the woman was so shocked by the mere thought of her son having the last word that she jumped into her car and began tailing him.
Conclusion
Ethridge told the authorities that while she was pursuing her son, she opened the passenger’s seat window to tell him something.
Allegedly, the man grabbed the door’s handle and attempted to open it. The Florida mother told the authorities that she fired a warning shot to scare him off.
However, his son told the police that his mother drove next to him, rolled down the window, and fired a single shot.
