Donald Trump: Not The President
Is America losing its mind? Not only do a lot of people embrace Donald Trump and his “winning” campaign, but it looks like Charlie Sheen has also changed his mind about the controversial presidential candidate, moving away from the “shame pile of idiocy” that he thought Trump was not very long ago. Is Sheen convinced that Trump is going to win now and he is playing along? Will America stand for this?
It’s about time we had some real talk about Donald Trump and his presidential campaign. By real talk we do not mean abstract statements like “I don’t think Trump will be a good president”, we mean actual facts that will give people something to think about. We are going to vote next year, so we might as well cast a good vote and not a vote for somebody we just “like”.
As American people, we have grown into a mature country and we are now able to weight our differences for the sake of the greater good. Not everybody likes Obama, not everybody liked Bush, Clinton, every president in the United States was not liked by everybody, yet they did their best to do something good for the country and they evolved while doing so.
Whether you’ve seen it or not, presidents have that attitude, which they come into the race with and they develop during their presidency. Trump’s attitude is different from Obama’s, for example, but Obama looks like a president. Trump doesn’t. We can see it in the way they move, the way they talk and the way they act. Trump came into the presidential campaign making it an entertainment, something which we do not need, something that America doesn’t need.
Remember when Trump said that he wants to choose Sarah Palin because “she knows what’s going on”? Remember when Trump called people stupid? Remember when he brought someone on stage to check if his hair was real? His campaign has reached a point in which we do not really know if it is a presidential campaign or a circus, something that should not fool the American people.
Trump is businessman and for that we respect him. He “knows what’s going on” in business, but he doesn’t seem to know how diplomacy and the presidential attitude work. He is talented in his field, but presidency does not suit him.
America’s vote needs to be an honest vote, a wholehearted vote for a man or woman who is well-fitted to lead our country towards greatness, as the American people need. America does not need a businessman right now, America needs a president.
