Daenerys Targaryen Crosses The Narrow Sea
Daenerys Targaryen crosses the Narrow Sea. That’s right ladies and gents. You’ve read the title, you’ve read the first sentence and this seems to be the truth about Game of Thrones’ Season 6. Big spoilers are coming your way, so if you still want to be surprised by the show or the books, close the window and do not come back.
For those of you who have remained, we shall bathe in the glory of spoilers for it seems that Daenerys did in fact cross the Narrow Sea and she will be making her stand in Westeros. This particular information has been deemed true after a photo emerged on Twitter with Emilia Clarke, Lena Headey and Natalie Dormer dressed for the show and in the same location: Spain.
While the photo does look more like an informal gathering than acting, it does raise questions as to why these three ladies find themselves on the same filming spot. Margaery and Cersei are understandable, but Daenerys? It is solid enough proof that the Mother of Dragons has finally found her way back to her homeland and she is ready to reclaim her once lost Iron Throne.
The reason why we are partially certain that this even occurred is because of Lena Headey’s facial expression. It’s the same old “piss off” expression that she shows whenever she feels contempt for anybody in the show (everybody, in her case). We all know that Headey cannot stop giggling on set and everybody there cannot keep a straight face, so this is what kind of gives it away.
However, as convenient as Daenerys’ passing might be, one cannot help but wonder if this is not too soon. There are at least three major journeys that she needs to go through in this season to be able to get here in the first place: being kidnapped by the Dothraki, being rescued from them or bargaining with them and her return to Westeros, which is not going to last for 2 days, of course.
It is safe to assume that this picture is either the greatest spoiler for Season 6 so far or it’s just and insignificant side picture that has nothing to do with the storyline at all. But they hype is really encouraging us to go for the former assumption than the latter one.
However, if Daenerys Targaryen crosses the Narrow Sea, we might be in for a lot of good action this season, action that might redeem Season 5’s spoilt storyline.
