Corning Inc., known producer of Gorilla glass for top smartphone companies reinvents itself and produces smartphones. Now, the company is setting more than the expected numbers because of the sales of their new product lines.
There was an added 1.6 percent in the total earnings of the company after the smartphone sales were compensated. However, this is not the end of the LCD business for the company. They are yet to release another kind of Gorilla glass to support flagship phones from Samsung and Apple. This could affect their final quarter ratings as it will come out on Nov 20.
However, they are not expecting much because they have seen that smartphone companies have already taken enough supplies for their production. Also, they will have to prepare for the launch of the products.
The glass industry is facing price meltdowns but the company has its hands full on it. Still, there are a lot of positive sides for the company. They have experienced total assets of $2.65 billion this year. This is a little too far from the $2.1 billion that they recorded in the same time last year.
This amounted to an increase of 40 cents per unit of the company. Thomson Reuters and New York Stock Exchange both positive movements for the company.
