A 7 and half months pregnant woman from California recently ended up in the hospital after performing a home abortion. The doctors discovered that the California woman asked her boyfriend to kick her in the belly to terminate her pregnancy. A legal loop makes authorities unable to press charges.
Home abortion Woman Told Doctors She Slipped While Mopping Floor
According to the police report, last week, a Kern Medical Center staff member notified the authorities after a patient came with bruising on her stomach. The female patient was 7 and half months pregnant when she arrived at the hospital.
During questioning the woman, who wished to remain anonymous, initially told the authorities that she slipped and fell on the floor while mopping.
However, she later confessed that the bruising on her stomach was the unfortunate result of a home abortion plan she and her boyfriend cooked up.
According to the woman’s confession, the fetus was too developed to be aborted through conventional means. And so, the California woman asked her boyfriend, who also wished to remain anonymous, to punch and kick her in the stomach.
Based on the woman’s confession, the authorities surmised that the individual must have punched and kicked her at least ten times to kill the fetus.
A Ker Medical Center spokesperson declared that the baby died a few minutes after birth.
The autopsy revealed that the fetus had life-threatening spinal injuries and a fractured skull.
Moreover, the coroner declared that the woman’s boyfriend also applied pressure to her stomach in order to kill the infant.
Despite this being a clear case of fetal homicide, lawmen are unable to press charged against the woman’s boyfriend. A District Attorney explained that the law states that the man can’t be accused of murder if the mother agreed to the ‘procedure.’
