
The Arlington doctors could be deported to Pakistan after serving his time in prison.
A former Arlington doctor was recently sentenced to three years in prison after a Virginia jury found him guilty of fetal murder. According to the court documents, Sikander Imran slipped an abortion pill inside his girlfriend’s tea to induce labor.
Arlington Doctor Could Be Deported To Pakistan
Brooke Fiske, the woman romantically involved with Imran told her story to a local news outlet. The two have been dating for several months.
Their relationship took an unexpected turn when Fiske went to Imran’s clinic to tell him that she’s pregnant.
According to the court document, Fiske was 17 weeks pregnant when she went to the Arlington doctor’s office to talk about how they were going to raise the child.
Later that day, Fiske was transported to the hospital. Unfortunately, the child was born dead.
During her press appearance, Fiske declared that she knew for certain that Imran caused the abortion. While at his office, Imran slipped an abortion pill in the woman’s tea. Fiske realized what Imran had done when she finished her tea and seen a smudge on the bottom.
The Arlington doctor was arrested in May 2017 and formally charged with fetal homicide. Following the incident, Imran will no longer be able to practice medicine in the United States.
Conclusion
On Friday, a Virginia jury found him guilty and sentenced him to 20 years in prison. However, Imran will only have to serve three years. Imran could also be deported to Pakistan after serving his sentence.
Fiske declared that she doesn’t blame Imran for what has transpired. Instead, she seized the opportunity to talk about the importance of seeking help when dealing with mental illness.
As the woman revealed, the former Arlington doctor struggled with depression and often had suicidal thoughts.
