The connection between an active sex life and work goes the other way around too.
Everybody knows that having an active life is great for our body and mind. Apparently, an active sex life is also important, especially when it comes to the performance at work. Many people are not very pleased with their workplace or the colleagues they have. This is why we need to have a positive attitude at work, to get past the negative things.
A new research focused on the benefits of having an active sex life and its relation to our performance at work. The researchers wanted to see if people who make time in their busy schedule for sex are better at their jobs. Although it might seem like there is no connection between these two, sex is known for its emotional benefits.
This study was conducted by researchers at the Oregon State University. They discovered that married people who make time to have sex with their partner have a better performance at their job the next day. The findings showed that the emotional and psychological benefits of an active sex life matter at the workplace too.
The problem is that the connection between an active sex life and work goes the other way around too. Researchers from the University of Oregon and the University of Washington observed that people who are stressed at their job tend to have a less active sex life. Due to the fact that they bring their job problems home, they spend less time with their partner.
People who are too stressed at their job to have an active sex life will suffer from other emotional and psychological problems as well. This is going to make them perform worse at their job and they will continue to be stressed.
An active sex life can have an effect on many aspects of living. Due to the fact that it releases dopamine and oxytocin, having intercourse makes us feel happy and loved. Having these two substances also make us have stronger friendships and bonds. This helps us communicate better with our colleagues.
Having an active sex life is important for our brain because it releases all the stress we have accumulated in our system. Researchers mentioned that not having sex can have a major impact on our level of stress and on our job.
“This is a reminder that sex has social, emotional and physiological benefits, and it’s important to make it a priority,” said Keith Leavitt, co-author of the study. “Just make time for it.”
What is your opinion about this study? Do you think that an active sex life can help people be better at their job?
