Walmart to Invite Customers in Stores through Old Saint Nick’s Christmas Parties

Christmas is right around the corner for some businesses already. People started hearing carols in some stores. Some European cities have already opened their Christmas markets to offer everyone the opportunity to visit them by January. Walmart seems to take this competitive period seriously. The company will not throw one, but thousands of Christmas parties throughout its stores. This way, Walmart hopes to lure in customers from its rivals.

The First of the Walmart Christmas Parties Will Take Place This Saturday

Walmart enjoyed a successful event that it organized last year during the holiday seasons. Through this one move, the company secured a higher position than rivals such as Target or Kohl’s. Therefore, this year Walmart plans to reiterate this strategy for thousands of times.

More precisely, Walmart will hold its Christmas period strategy for 20,000 times at 4,700 stores. The first of this series is scheduled for this Saturday on a nationwide scale and will be entitled ‘Toys That Rock.’ Kids will have numerous popular toys to play with at any Walmart store. On top of that, they can already talk to Old Saint Nick and take a picture with the jolly fellow.

However, Walmart plans to increase their additional staff members that usually support the company throughout the winter holidays for a limited period of time. Therefore, shoppers won’t have to deal with poor customer support or slow services while employees are decorating stores with balloons.

Steve Bratspies, chief merchandising officer at Walmart, claimed that there are going to be thousands of discounts this season. Famous toy brands such as Lego and Nerf are slated to appear with competitive offers.

“We are buying as much inventory as we think we can handle and sell … we think we are in a really strong position,”

Walmart Is at Its 13th Quarter of Growth in a Row and IS Working Hard to Secure Its 14th

Store staff will be easily recognizable as they will wear reindeer hats in addition to Walmart vests. On the other hand, the company has to make sure it won’t ignore its core business format. Teams will work more on keeping the shelves stocked while making sure top popular assets will be available at all times.

Walmart managed to maintain an incremental growth throughout its last 13 quarters. This kind of achievement is necessary to stay in the race against Amazon. Therefore, Walmart plans to keep stakes high this winter season with thousands of Christmas parties. Moreover, the company promised an online assortment thrice as generous as it was last year.
