If you’re looking for job offers, Google is here to help you. This year, the platform has introduced a new feature which allows you to browse through several offers according to your preferences. Now, Google decided to take data from popular platforms of job-seeking and arrange them in a widget for you to search more easily.
Google helps you find a job
You can easily start looking for a job just by opening the Search page, and by entering any query you want. Let’s say you want to work close to your home, so a good starting point would be to enter the terms ‘jobs near me’. Then, the widget will allow you to filter the offers by selecting several categories.
You can search for jobs depending on the field where you should be working, the date when the offer was posted, the title, or the type of job (this means either full-time of part-time). If you have the location turned on, the tool might show how much time it will take you to get from home to a particular job.
The widget will now show you possible salaries for specific jobs
Now, Google decided to add some new information to help you find what you’re looking for. Once you show interest in a particular offer, the tool will display a possible salary the employer might be offering. Most of the times, they don’t mention this kind of information in the offers. Now, Google will use its algorithms to calculate an estimate judging from location, title, or employer. It will also use resources like LinkedIn or PayScale.
“For those jobs that do have a salary listed, we’ll show a comparison to the estimated range for that job, if available.”
This is probably the most useful new feature, but the job widget will bring a few other changes as well. You can now select a location feature, and the tool will show you the jobs within a certain direction range. Also, Google will indicate you on what platforms you can apply most quickly, so the recruitment process could go smoothly.
