New PlayStation 4 1 TB of storage
Ever since the new PlayStation 4 was first announced, die-hard gamers have been waiting to get their hands on Sony’s latest console.
The waiting is over as the new PS4 has an official release date, according to an official statement made by Sony Computer Entertainment.
The new PlayStation 4 will be available for purchase by the end of June.
Sony’s new game console will be lighter and will consume less power, as per the official product description.
The new PlayStation 4 weigh 10% less than the current version of the console and consumes 8% less power, said Sony representatives.
The HDD bay cover of the new PS4 comes in a matte finish, which gives it a more casual look.
According to what Sony wrote in its press release, the new PlayStation 4 console’s game portfolio will continue to expand with highly-anticipated games created by SCE Worldwide Studios as well as third-party publishers.
Some of the game titles Sony refers to in its press release include Sengoku Basara4 Sumeragi, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Until Dawn, God Of War III Remastered and the Tomorrow Children.
The new PS4 is available in Glacier White and Jet Black.
Sony’s new console will first be released in Japan, followed by Europe, North America and several Asian countries.
Sony has also announced another version of the 1TB PS4 called 1TB PS4 Ultimate Player Edition.
This console will be released on July 15, but so far there hasn’t been any details about the price of it.
The current version of PlayStation 4 offers 500GB of storage, which some gamers find insufficient.
Many popular games released in the last years take up a lot of storage, so a console with a higher-capacity was badly needed.
Sony’ new console comes after Microsoft announced its new Xbox One 1TB of storage at the beginning of June.
According to Microsoft, the new Xbox One 1TB was created to satisfy one of the most frequent requests made by their fans.
Many wonder if Sony will lower the price of the 500GB PS4 version, just as Microsoft did with its Xbox One.
