The Japanese Made A Smartphone Robot
We don’t really know how we should call this little guy. Smartbot? Robophone? We will leave it to you to decide what to call it, but what’s exciting here is that the Japanese made a smartphone robot. They call it RoboHon, but we think that the guys responsible with the names can do a little bit better. This little guy is a fantastic invention, however, at the edge of seriousness and toys.
It can also do a lot of things that your phone can’t. And we do live in the era of information and entertainment. How is it possible that our phones cannot walk and dance? Well this smartphone robot can. Despite the fact that it can do anything a normal smartphone can do like call and access the internet, it can also walk, dance and even project photos and display maps.
The Japanese have really outdone themselves this time. I want a dancing smartphone too, and I have been giving away hundreds of dollars on Samsungs and Apples just to get the same phone over and over again. This thing can actually get you entertained and take your out of your misery. Are you bored at work? Let it dance. You feeling lonely at home? Let it walk through the house.
The robot also has a major psychological impact on children, especially in Eastern Asian region. Populations from this are getting accustomed to technology way faster than the rest of the world does, at least that is how it seems, and this robo smartphone can go down in history as the first phone you have to buy for a child. It also enforces the digital trend in Japan, allowing children to become familiar with technology from a tender age.
It does have its downsides, too. It is quite easy to get attached to it and once you get a good grip, it will be harder to let it go. It is not exactly an ideal tool, but you do understand why people would need it. Did we also mention the two inch touch screen? Yes, it’s that small, ideal for children, but kind of difficult for a grown up human being. Add the fact that you might have big fingers and the purchase is a no-no.
We expect the robot to trend up quite fast, especially because it is new. The Japanese made a smartphone robot and if parents start buying them for their children, it is only a matter of time until it all goes viral. It’s a nice idea, but not a 100% beneficial one either.
