It is not uncommon to see third quarter reports for this fiscal year knowing that the third quarter had just ended. T-Mobile is among those companies that posted a report for their third quarter performance.
It was in the report given by T-Mobile that they had subscriber growth in this year’s third quarter. The subscriber growth was said to be due to their aggressive marketing campaigns.
Though T-Mobile reported subscriber growth, which is definitely a positive thing, the third quarter is not that really good for the company knowing that they booked losses that are bigger than what they were expecting. The losses were due to the cost of MetroPCS network integration.
The fourth largest wireless carrier in the United States reported a loss of $0.12 for every share. Last year’s third quarter, the company also reported a loss. However, this year’s loss is much bigger compared to last year’s $0.05 per share loss.
Even when the T-Mobile company experienced a 10.6 percent increase in its total revenue, it is not yet enough to make it a good quarter for the US wireless carrier. It could have been better if the T-Mobile company did not experience any loss at all.
