Super PAC Supporting GOP Carly Fiorina Raises $3.4 Million

Super PAC Supporting GOP Carly Fiorina Raises $3.4 Million

Carly Fiorina at the Freedom Summit, Jan. 24, 2015, in Des Moines, Iowa

The super PAC in support of GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina reported raising 3.4 million dollars since it formed in February.

The super PAC opening report sum is more than twice that of Carly Fiorina’s official campaign, which reported a mere 1.4 million dollars since it was launched in May.

The Carly Fiorina campaign manager, Frank F. Sadler wrote a memo to supporters disclosing the official campaign’s funding results so far.

Unquestionable, these figures are so far meager for a GOP presidential candidate who is competing with other GOP candidates like Ben Carson or Senator Ted Cruz. Both are the only to release their fundraising reports so far, at a total of 10.5 million dollars, respectively 51 million dollars so far.

Nonetheless, Frank Sadler commented that it is also understandable why the total funding of the super PAC and the official campaign of Carly Fiorina only pooled 4.8 million dollars. Carly Fiorina is the only GOP candidate that has never held office. She is instead the former exec of Hewlett Packard.

Yet, never having held office means that the political infrastructure other GOP candidates took years or even generation to build is at a mere start for Carly Fiorina. Despite this fact, her poll ratings continued raising.

In a vast GOP field of male presidential candidates, Carly needs to fare among the top 10 if she is to take part in the GOP sanctioned debate set in August. Many argue that it is critical for Carly to be on the stage.

Stephen DeMaura, who is the executive director for the super PAC stated that Carly Fiorina has the kind of political views that certainly appeal to more groups of the Republican Party.

At the same time he stated that the super PAC needs to bring 5 to 10 million dollars to keep the presidential candidate afloat and competitive.

“We are well on our way to meeting the budget we laid out at the beginning and are thankful to have the support of so many people from across the country”.

Certainly the current funding reports will be boosted with the upcoming events in New Hampshire.

The super PAC supporting Carly Fiorina was initially named Carly for America, yet it changed to ‘Conservative, Authentic, Responsive Leadership for You and America’. It is expected that the super PAC will in certain ways replace the official campaign by taking over functions.

After all, more was accomplished via the independent group than by the official campaign, at least in terms of attracted funds.

Also, outsourcing campaign functions to independent groups seems to mark a trend during the 2016 electoral period.

Carly Fiorina, GOP presidential candidate is just building up her support mechanism, from emailing list to coordinated and sustained events. With a little effort, she could make it to the debate stage.
