Simple paper comics are just nice, but simplified comics with Google Play Books is just the thing you need when that shelf with magazines is full.
What’s the best way to read a comic? I think this is the first question that pops into the mind of every comic book readers. Shall I purchase a physical copy of it from the newsstand or shall I go ahead and read one from the internet? It seem that more and more people switch to reading their favorite comics on their mobile devices. And Google Play is one of the first online mobile stores that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face when you read about the adventures of Batman or Superman.
So, what’s so great about a mobile application used to download and read comic books? Well, there are quite a lot of perks actually. Storing space, for one can be considered to be one of them. Store all your favorite comics inside your device’s internal memory, showcase them, bookmark them and enjoy them.
Ok, got that! What’s up with Google Play Book? According to the feedback received from avid comic fans, Google Play took upon system to come up to a solution capable of solving some problems regarding the comic book reader. The first version of the reader was rather sluggish, plain and you had a very hard time getting around the pages of your comic book. Basically, you would have to zoom on each case in order to read the text and so one.
Google Play Books decided to take a stand and make matters a lot easier for the users. The developing team announced that the popular book application will receive a new update that is comprised of an enhanced comic reading mode.
It gets even better that this. Apart from being able to showcase your comics, the new update makes navigation very easy. Swap through your comics, bookmark them and organize them. You can even read them in the landscape mode. Apart from this new update, Google Play Books announced that by downloading the new update, users will receive a batch of free comics. Among the free comics are a couple of noteworthy titles like the X-Files series and Lazarus.
Google Play is planning on shipping the new upgrade in the next few day to the United States, Australia, Canada, Singapore, South Africa and the UK.
