A healthy diet offers immense benefits for our health and for out general good mood, as healthy foods hold in vitamins that are indispensable for our bodies. A recent study shows that nuts offer considerable health benefits, with men and women who eat at least 10g of nuts or peanuts a day developing a lower degree of risk in dying from cancer or heart diseases.
The extraordinary advantage these kinds of foods hold in are translated in vitamins, antioxidants, fibers and compounds like monosaturated and polysaturated fatty acids that contribute to lower death rates.
This findings are based on a study that gathered data from the Netherlands Cohort Study, which includes information about no less than 120.000 Dutch people with ages ranging from 55 to 69 years old. They are both men and women and their health levels were analyzed starting with 1986, until our present times. Scientists have measured nut ingestion by analyzing portion size and frequency at which participants use to eat tree nuts, peanuts and peanut butter.
It seems that those who have a daily or weekly routine of eating nuts are a lot healthier than people that don’t include oily fruits in their diets. 15 grams of nuts a day are sufficient dose of vitamins and nutrients that make the body healthier and less exposed to develop affections. A higher intake is however not associated with reduction in mortality risks.
Another important detail is that peanut butter is not as beneficial as eating pure peanuts. Eating peanut butter does not bring particular improvements to the general health system in human subjects. This is due the damaging additives such as salt and vegetable oils.
Mortality risks and lower risks of developing certain diseases were outlined in people who are used to eating plain peanuts, nuts, almonds, caju and other such examples.
This is not the first time we hear about nuts being beneficial for our health, as most of us know that oilseeds offer unmeasurable benefits, from the aspect of our skin to increased levels of energy and high immune efficiency. But this is nevertheless the first time someone takes the time to measure the benefits and come up with conclusions based on real facts. The advantages of nuts are very diverse and substantial and can outgrow hearth problems and help people that struggle with weight management and diabetes. Furthermore, all that comes with great taste and beautiful diversity in shapes, sizes, textures and flavors.
