What should you do if the police catch you rolling a joint? Simple! Grab a bag of cocaine and throw it in a cop’s face. As unlikely as this might sound, a 20-year-old Nashville man was recently arrested after doing exactly so.
Nashville Man Caught With Marijuana and About 3 Grams of Cocaine
And this week’s worst criminal award goes to 20-year-old Antonio Freeman, a Nashville resident. Mr. Freeman found the best way to make the cops drop all the charges – by getting rid of all the merchandise right in front of them.
Officer Ryan Caulfield, one of the lawmen who took part in Freeman’s arrest, declared that the suspect did not think this through.
According to Officer Caulfield, on Monday night, himself and two of his colleagues were patrolling the Third Avenue North, when they saw Freeman sitting on the sidewalk.
Caufield said that Freeman looked like he was in the process of rolling a marijuana cigarette. When the police officer and his colleagues went to confront the Nashville man, Freeman allegedly shoved the rolling paper and the pot in his pocket.
This is where things get really interesting. After Caulfield asked him to empty his pockets, the Nashville man took a cocaine bag out of his right pocket. If that wasn’t enough, Freeman stood up and began crushing the bag’s contents.
After that, he simply sprinkled the cocaine on Caufield’s head. With some effort, the police officer and his colleagues managed to subdue Freeman.
Conclusion
A search of the suspect revealed another plastic bag which, according to Caufield, contained roughly 3 grams of cocaine, a bottle with marijuana residue, an electronic scale, and an electronic scale.
The Nashville man was later charged with possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, and using drug paraphernalia.
