The new Kangaroo Laptop was introduced on Thursday during the latest Pepcom event that took place in New York and it’s like nothing else before.
The new feature this notebook is a bundle made out of two interchangeable devices. The Kangaroo Mini PC’s operate on Windows 10 and a laptop dock. So instead of using just one laptop with multiple accounts, now two individuals can plug in their module into the device and they can play and work. Once they finish, they simply remove it from the docking station.
Furthermore, you can take your files away with you when the module is removed, as each module comes with its own packing.
The new Kangaroo laptop includes facilities such as Wireless AC connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, 32 GB of internal storage, and 2 GB of system memory. Also, the notebook includes an SD-card reader which expands the storage up to 256 GB.
Even though the product page does not offer too many detailed information, the company also added that the innovative laptop would include speakers, a microphone, webcam, a battery and a 3.5 mm jack, making it a certified, real modular device. The resolution of the screen is 1366×768 pixels, just like an average notebook.
Unfortunately, because of the design of the Kangaroo Mini’s connectors, users won’t be able to take advantage of some of the special features, like the ports that allow them to attach an additional display or a keyboard or a mouse. Those who desire a stand-alone device can browse the other notebooks that the company has to offer like the Kangaroo pocket-sized PC.
The selling price for this Kangaroo modular laptop will be 300$, and it will come with Windows 10 installed on both modules. It will arrive on Newegg, starting mid-October and it’s already supposed to be very successful because there are a lot of pre-orders.
