Jim Gordon Is Getting Fired In The Premiere
Great news for Gotham fans! Or is it going to be bad news for the viewers? Or maybe it is only going to be bad for Jim Gordon? We will just have to let you decide. It appears that all the spoilers and new theories we encountered were only the beginning for Gotham’s second season. If you settled into your comfortable “I know what’s going to happen this season” mood, you might be in for a surprise.
It looks like Jim Gordon is getting fired in the premiere. You can read that again if you think that your eyes deceived you, but we can guarantee that it is true. Jim is going to be losing his job at the beginning of this season, which not only puts him into a very uncomfortable position, but Gotham as well. Jim is the only man in town who is willing to go far enough for the sake of justice.
Taking him out of the game, however, makes things a lot more interesting. Of course, are talking about a paper-written “out of the game” here. Jim is certainly going to stick around until the Dark Knight will make his appearance and beyond that. But this unfortunate turn of events will spice up the story, which has proven to be quite good if we are going to judge the series by its last season.
While Gordon is being defended by Captain Essen, Commissioner Loeb is very sure that he wants Jim out of the way. Having him kicked out puts Gotham, once again, in the triangle of danger: in between Penguin, the new Theo and Tabitha Galavan and a corrupted police. As usual, not much is expected from Bruce, who is still very far away from his decisive self and needs to walk the path to becoming Batman.
We already know that the criminals are going to make a stand this season and rumors indicate that Theo Galavan might be Ra’s al Ghul himself. Penguin will also want his fair share of the city which, in his head, is all of Gotham and crime titans will collide. It is funny to think that we are going to hope for an employed Jim Gordon to do the job, but we will just have to wait and see how things develop.
Gotham will premiere on September 21st, when crime will take its toll upon Gotham if you want to see how the good guys take their city back, tune in on Fox and hope for the best.
