
Kyogera will launch Digno rafre washable smartphone on the 11th of December.
Ever wondered what will happen if you were to wash away those icky germs from you smartphone using water and some sort? Well, in almost 99 percent of the cases, you would want to throw aways your phone after doing so. But a Nippon company says otherwise. Japanese Company releases a washable smartphone, the first smartphone that you can rinse, wash and soap away.
Kyocera is the name of the Nippon company and wacky innovation is their game. In order to piece together the concept, the developers asked themselves the question: how convenient it will be for someone to own a smartphone that can be washed using water and soap? Very convenient, as it would seem. Phone screen and its outer casing can harbor tons of bacteria, ranging from the most inoffensive bacterial strains and ending with the notorious Staph.
The company’s new concept is called Digno rafre and it features a waterproof casing along with other treatments that will ensure that the device is same from all water sources. You would be inclined to say that this gadget is not something new under the sun. There ale lots of devices out there that are waterproof. Yes, but how many of them can be thoroughly washed using soap and water?
Apart from being created to serve our hygienic needs, the phone itself packs quite an arsenal when it comes to specifications. Digno rafre features a microSD slot, which is capable of extending the phone’s external memory to 128 GB. Moreover, the phone also comes with a 3000 mAh battery, sealed under a regenerative and dynamic plastic cover.
As for the other goodies, the phone can work with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and can support 4G LTE plus WiMAX and VoLTE. In terms of musical performances, the phone comes equipped with Smart Sonic Receiver, capable of transmitting audio signals through vibrations that go along the device’s screen. To ensure maximum protection when it comes to both physical impact and water damage, the phone comes equipped with the Dragontrail X technology for touchscreens.
Japanese company releases a washable smartphone and the public is eagerly awaiting the day the phone will be available on the market. And so, as not to disappoint its fans, Kyocera announced that Digno rafre will be officially launched in Japan on the 11th of December. The handset is predicted to launch at a retail price of 57.240 yen, that’s roughly 465 in American dollars.
