How Jon Snow Can Come Back
Jon Snow’s demise has been a tragic development for both show and book fans. While the book still provides some hope, the way the last season 5 episode ended and what directors and Harrington declared at the end of the season made it seem obvious that Jon was dead for good. Another positive character had been cut off the list, Danny being the last one people could support.
Everything changed when Kit Harrington declared that “game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I’ll probably be in my thirties when it’s over”. These were his words during an interview with a Belgian magazine known as Humo. This was the only spark that was needed to light up the fire. Jon is coming back, but how will the bastard of Winterfell return?
We want to go through how Jon Snow can come back, since there are a few ways. We could let Lady Stoneheart slide, but not Jon. We know for certain that he is a character who needs to come back and save the day.
The number one suspected way is warging into Ghost. This originates in the books. As Jon was dying, he whispered “Ghost”. George R.R. Martin has confirmed that all Stark children are wargs, yet Bran is the only one who is fully aware of his powers. Since he whispered the name of his white companion before supposedly dying, book fans are sure that Jon will be warged into Ghost in the book that follows.
The number two favorite is a wight. Though the Night’s Watch are not foolish enough to leave Jon’s body unburnt, there might be a slight possibility that he might come back as an undead character. Some also believe that he might return as a White Walker. They both seem as scarce possibilities, but in case the White Walker army attacks the Wall by surprise, anything could happen.
The fan favorite is the Melisandre resurrection. Since Thoros of Myr was able to bring back Baeric Dondarrion so many times, it would seem plausible that the God of Fire will at least listen to one of Melisandre’s prayers and bring our beloved Jon Snow back. This seems the most plausible solution to the entire issue and perhaps the majority of the GoT community is sure that this is going to happen.
So what do you think? How is Jon’s comeback going to occur? Will he return via one of the methods above, or will he find another way?
