With its last patient leaving the ICU, Guinea was declared Ebola Free. The last known case of Ebola in Guinea, West Africa, was a 19-day-old baby girl.
After a couple of tests and careful around-the-clock observations, doctors working with the Ebola coordination unit, gave he a clean bill of health. In order for a country to be deemed Ebola free by the World Health Organization, no new cases must be registered within a 42-day period. All the tests perform on the baby girl came back negative, thus the physicians decided to release her.

Ebola, also known as hemorrhagic fever, is a viral disease transmitted by a hoard of Ebola viruses. Early symptoms could occur within a two days. Among the earliest sign associated with Ebola infection are sore, throat, high fever, throbbing muscle pains and occasional headaches. As the disease progresses, the patient might exhibit other symptoms such as vomiting, nausea and diarrhea.
It is noted that the first organs affected by Ebola are the kidneys and the liver. Report place the rate of death somewhere between 25 and 90 percent. The most common culprit that contributes to a patient’s downfall is hypovolemic shock. Basically, the patient exhibits very low blood pressure due to the fact that he is repeatedly loosing fluid.
As to the methods of transmission, reports submitted by Health officials stated that Ebola is capable of spreading through body fluids. You can get Ebola if get in close contact with someone who is infected. Also, it has been noted that Ebola can spread from infected animals to humans.
Unfortunately, 2015 proved to be disastrous in terms of Ebola. Health officials declared that there is no drug out there can effectively treat Ebola.
When talking about Ebola, we should at least take into consideration another fact. According to several sources, it would seem that the Ebola virus could be deployed as a bioweapon. Members from the CDC have categorized Ebola as being a level 4 biohazard.
According to some rumors, which were probably fueled by North Korea’s propaganda, the outbreak of Ebola in West Africa was not an accident and that the US Government has something to do with this. We are inclined to dismiss this on the pretense that it’s only hearsay.
Coming back to the initial event, it would seem that West Africa will finally be able to breathe easier, because no new Ebola cases have emerged in the last 42 days.
