GoT: The Season That Brought The Dead Back

GoT: The Season That Brought The Dead Back

Game of Thrones’ sixth season might be known as “the season that brought the dead back”. With a few characters that are expected to come back like fan-favorite Jon Snow, Sandor Clegane, a.k.a. the Hound and still prominent expectations on Lady Stoneheart, another actress was spotted near a filming zone that could hint at probable comebacks.

It was none other than Sibel Kekilli, which many of us are familiar with as Shae, Tyrion’s failed love interest. She was seen in Peñíscola, Spain, when she she was photographed last Monday. Dinklage’s unfortunate love interest was not wearing any costume when she was sighted, so this also leaves some room to think that she might just miss her colleagues and she has just dropped by for a visit.

What is interesting, however, is that the Game of Thrones fansite known as Direwolves and Dragons reported to have seen Kekilli in the hotel that is restricted to outsiders except crew members. So she is either coming back, or you get a free pass wherever you go on the set because of your participation in the show dead or alive.

Shae’s role in the series was not a pivotal one and fans have hated her ever since she betrayed Tyrion, if not before that. Her coming back would be rather suspicious: it would mean that she has some sort of higher purpose that we are not yet aware of. For now, neither readers nor show viewers have any idea what is going to happen in GoT.

The revival of other characters does make sense, however. Jon Snow needs to avenge his death and protect the North from the invading white walker army. Sandor Clegane is believed by many to be the character known in the books as “the Grave Digger”. He is also believed to have a part to play in Cersei’s prophecy.

And, needless to say, there really should be someone in the North who starts avenging Starks for the horrors that have befallen them. Sansa might not do much, Jon might be busy with the white walkers, so someone needs to take charge and deal with unfinished business. All the more reason to believe that Stoneheart might actually make an appearance in this series.

That’s it for now, we also believe that we will see these major characters return in the season that brought the dead back. You can sense that there is a twist in the plot that needs to come really soon, a positive one, but it is funny when you think that the positive air can be brought by the dead.
