Microsoft, the mastermind behind the Xbox One console did not wait until the highly-anticipated event E3 2015 Media Briefing to present some new goodies for the die-hard fans of the Xbox console.
Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that it will be releasing the Xbox One 1TB as well as the latest Xbox One Wireless Controller, which leaked on the internet a few weeks back.
Microsoft confirmed the new Xbox One 1TB in a post on the official Xbox Wire blog.
The console comes in a bundle with the Xbox One Wireless Controller, which features a special headset jack so that the user won’t have to buy any additional accessories.
Those who purchase this bundle will also get a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which is one of the reasons gamers asked for more storage on their Xbox One.
The digital download of Halo takes up about 70GB of space on its own.
According to the official blog post, the new Xbox One 1TB will be available in stores starting June 16 in the United States and it will cost $399.
The price of the new console is $50 higher than the regular Xbox One with 500GB, and $100 less than the Xbox One that features Kinect sensors.
At the moment all Xbox One consoles come with 500GB of storage and doubling this will make any gamer happy because they will have more space for storing video games and other digital downloads.
The users have less than 400GB of storage to install their games, which increased in size significantly over the past years.
Microsoft also announced that it will lower the price of the Xbox One 500GB to $349.
Prior to this, one could only purchase the console at this price if there was a promotion.
The new Xbox One 1TB is already available for pre-order on Amazon before its official release.
According to Microsoft, the new console does not come in a matte finish so scratches may occur.
Microsoft added that Xbox One Wireless Controller can also be purchased separately from the Xbox One 1TB.
The Xbox One Wireless Controller has improved audio quality and features in-line microphone and playback controls similar to Apple’s EarPod ear buds.
The users can balance the audio levels and adjust the overall volume with the new features added specially for the new Xbox One Wireless Controller; the audio volume was also increased on this new console.
