Florida Drifters Allegedly Cut Off Homeless Man’s Hand
Grady Judd, the Polk County Sheriff, declared that 36-year-old Kristina Sluss and 31-year-old Christopher Taylor have been taken into custody and charged with three counts of first-degree premeditated murder.
According to Judd, the Florida drifters entered a Landrum home on the 19th of January, where they’ve murdered 23-year-old Nathan Poffenberger and his parents, 59-year-old Fred Richards, and 59-year-old Francis Richards. Judd also added that the couple used a hatchet to murder their victims brutally and that the coroner’s report revealed that the blow was so powerful that it nearly decapitated Poffenberger.
In addition to the South Carolina triple homicide, Taylor is also wanted for the death and mutilation of Douglas Bowling, a homeless person. According to the authorities, Bowling was beaten to death by Taylor who also chopped off his hands and kept them as mementos.
Bowling’s brother is also considered a person of interest in his case. At the moment, the Florida authorities are making an appeal to other state agencies to check their records for unsolved murder cases, believing that the Florida drifters might have killed even more people.
