After long debates and controversy building a distrust halo around the female Viagra issue, the pill has ultimately been approved by FDA. The pill that is set to arouse female desire over the dullness of hormones will soon be available over the counter.
The story does not end here, as there’s much debate going on still. It seems that the recently named Addyi that contains the active substance called flibanserin, creates a worrying range of side effects. Female Viagra is not a good idea, after all the trials and tribulations that appeared ever since the drug went on for approval.
The US Food and Administration Court just came from approving the secure sale of the drug, after long protests initiated by communities of feminists that went publicly to fight against discrimination and the lack of equal rights when it comes to libido drugs that by now were only available for men.
Speaking of men, they have more than 26 varieties of drugs to play with their libido and arouse their desire. More than ever, now it’s the right time for women to take their own slice of pleasure and desire, wrapped in a cute pink pill.
But everything comes for a cost. The strategy of feminists only spurred controversy but not an equitable management of the situation. The result? “A mediocre aphrodisiac with scary side effects”.
Yes, women all over the world got their pill, but avoided to get more into the matter and understand what this drug is supposed to do with their bodies. It doesn’t work like Viagra does in men. Viagra can be taken on the spot, without a prolonged treatment. It causes erections and treats the male’s physical dysfunction.
The female Viagra acts upon the brain and treats what is commonly called hypoactive desire disorder. This is related to our brains rather than our physical body that can be motivated with some mood enhancers.
Moreover, the pink pill has some very unpleasant side effects, among which there is nausea, fainting, low blood pressure, dizziness and fainting. The natural question is “how is this supposed to help in arousing sexual desire in females?”
Tests were performed on women who had been subjected to treatment and it seems that women were only improving their common sexual encounters with only one per month. Their sexual desire increased just 0.3 points on a scale that ran from 1.2 to 6.0.
The female Viagra needs to be taken on a regular basis (once a day), for a minimum of satisfaction and with a pretty inconvenient price to be paid. Yes, the launch of a new drug on the market that arouses sexual desire in women is a good initiative, but women don’t just need any drug, they need one that offers an equitable amount of benefits. So all protesters out there got their mouths shut once the FDA approved the launch, but wouldn’t it be better if they just decide to put some more thought into it and see that it is not even close to enough just to have a pink pill with the name “woman” on it?! It has to work properly too, and this is something that Addiy doesn’t do.
