Like any newly-released game, Fallout 4 was expected to have a couple of pesky graphical bugs. On the subject of bugs, Fallout 4’s undesired Easter Eggs have made quite a ruse. In a game, there are only two types of bugs: small glitches that you choose to ignore if the gameplay and the plot are just too good to be true and there are those not-so-small glitches that make you punch the living daylight out of your computer or console.
It would seem that the last installment in the Fallout franchise has quite a lot of those bugs from the second category. So, let’s talk Easter and egg-shells. After playing the games for quite a lot of hours, players experienced a most unusual graphical bug, known as blurry vision. No, it’s not something related to lens flare or to some v-sync issue. It’s literally that vision you would get when you stepped into too much radiation and got yourself a heap load of rad poisoning.
Well, at first, that’s not uncommon. Even in the other versions of the game you would get rad poisoning if the meter on your Pip-boy went off the chart. Only thing is, that the blurry vision won’t go away, no matter what you do. A couple of players reported that they’ve done anything they could think of in order to chase away the blurry fairy. Sleeping the rads away didn’t work and neither did restarting the game, nor taking rad-away.
Some of them went that far as to totally change the appearance of their character, but that didn’t work either. According to a video gaming website, the problem begins after you have visited Doctor Sun in Diamond City.
When amassing lots of rads, players usually take to the Big City in order to have the good doctor cure them. But instead of curing them and ending the blurry vision, the things persists although Sun says that the procedure was successful and the character is rad-free. But the worst of it is that neither the vision nor the actual poisoning don’t go away.
Some of the members from the Fallout community recommended to the players that experience this to simply load a previously saved game. Unfortunately, this is only a temporary solutions because by visiting Sun again you would be stuck with the same bug over and over again.
Bethesda promised to look into this matter and they even intend to release a patch able to solve this problem. Thing is that we don’t known when and where this patch will be released.
