Fallout 4 Xbox One Bundle Announced for November

Fallout 4 is scheduled for release on November 10

The Fallout 4 Xbox One bundle is due for release in the upcoming month of November. With the gaming community over-hyped for the new entry in the iconic open-world RPG post-apocalyptic franchise, Bethesda and Microsoft have teamed up to give fans another incentive to go out and buy the current-gen console on which to experience what many predict to be an interactive masterpiece.

The Xbox One bundle comes with both Fallout 4 and 3 in its package. This means that Microsoft has pushed for backwards compatibility on the Xbox One, to allow gamers to play titles available on previous generation consoles. The bundle will also come with additional storage of up to one terabyte, as well as a wireless controller, headset and a 14-day free trial for Xbox Live Gold.

Furthermore, apart from allowing players to store several games on the large hard drive, the one terabyte bundle will also save user-created mods for Fallout 4. And all of these features will be available at the price of $399. As November kicks in, the offer will be made available in 29 countries around the world.

Bethesda has not yet announced any similar plans for the Playstation 4 version of the game and, at this stage in time, with a little more than one month to go until the scheduled November 10 release, gamers feel this might just be an Xbox One-exclusive deal. Meanwhile, for the PC gaming community, the upcoming Fallout game can be bought from retailers on Steam for as little as $40.

Ever since Bethesda acquired the rights for the series, the Fallout games have enjoyed widespread positive reception and critical acclaim. The series is known for its open-world nature, which encourages user exploration through side and sub-quests, allowing players to postpone the main story as they see fit. And of course probably the most renowned feature of the series is its branching storyline structure and the choices it offers throughout the gameplay.

Director Todd Howard said that Fallout 4 has improved on all the limitations of its predecessors. One of the most eye-catching new feature is the cinematic aspect of the game, which will be first one to feature a voiced protagonist, either male or female, fully customizable according to player preference.

Fallout 4 also includes more supporting characters, which the players can interact with, form bonds, create friendships and even romance in a manner akin to the Mass Effect game series. The player will also have the option to scavenge areas, collect items, construct new buildings and even decorate them so that NPCs can move in. Some have even referred to this aspect of Fallout 4 as a game within a game, the photorealistic alternative to Minecraft.

Ever since taking everyone by surprise with its unveiling at E3 earlier this year, the gaming community has been eagerly counting the days leading to its release. The hype is enormous and after all the presentations and gameplay footage from developers, many already regard Fallout 4 as a contender for game of the year awards.
