Have you ever thought that it is hard to live in your own shoes? Would you rather be somebody else? But before you ask yourself these questions, think twice if you could handle the circumstances that would occur if you were to be in someone else`s place. For instance, the police has recently announced the case of a California woman arrested for stealing 74 identities. It is quite a few, you may say, thus agreeing with the reaction of vastly experienced men of law.
On Friday, the sheriff representing the Los Angeles County has reported that a woman from California has been finally taken into custody, for an unseen before identity theft. The Californian female is accused of stealing the identities of people who mainly worked as Hollywood staff and also she is charged with other accusations which ha been determined by the main indictment.
Cathryn Parker, 72 years old, has been taken into custody last month, after committing a mistake she now wishes she had never done. After a site visitors violation, Parker has presented a wrong id to a deputy, according to the statement of Lt. Slade Carrizosa.
As a consequence of this event, the police started an investigation which led them to the real home of Cathryn Parker. The men of law have also understood that she was using a false identity there as well.
By living under so many aliases, Cathryn Parker is also said to have not properly paid her utilities, using other people`s money. That when she would not be with other persons playing cards and betting the money she had obtained from other people`s credit cards.
According to the officials talking on behalf of the police, Cathryn Parker, who was also known as `Jan` or `Katherine Gonsalves`, she has lived using false identities stolen from 74 persons over the past five years. Even if the main targets of her crimes were people who worked as Hollywood staff, it is unknown if she has ever got on the set of a Hollywood movie. Apparently, no one has seen her, so she was very skilled in making herself unnoticed, as the 74 cases of identities theft she is said to have committed suggest.
“It’s like a way of life. I don’t know that there was an end. You have to be dedicated. You and I go to work in the morning and spend eight, 10 or 12 hours. I guess if you’re in the identity theft business and it’s your job, in a sense she went to work.”
Det. Danny Gore commented on the situation of Kathryn Parker.
