New Jersey bank robber was caught by the police while attempting to change clothes.
Just because you fancy yourself a real-life Baby Face Nelson, it doesn’t mean you should quit your day job. A New Jersey bank robber learned this lesson the hard way after being nabbed by the authorities minutes after pulling the heist.
Bank Robber Leaves Visible Bank Note Trail Behind
And the very unfortunate winner of this year’s worst criminal award goes to Jeffrey Wolfman, a 32-year-old New Jersey resident, and a very ‘professional’ bank robber.
Mr. Wolfman thought that the best way to make more moolah was to rob a bank. Well, it would seem that the newbie bank robber put more emphasis on the element of surprise than on actual tools.
According to the authorities, on Wednesday, a Peapack-Gladstone Bank teller called the authorities to report a robbery. When the police arrived, the teller told them that a man dressed in black garments entered the bank, approached him, and ordered him to fork over all the greens. The bank teller obeyed, and Mr. Wolfman left.
What the New Jersey bank robber wasn’t aware of is that his money bag had a chink in it the size of Calcutta’s Black Hole. And yes, Mr. Wolfman left a trail of dollar bills behind him.
And if that wasn’t enough for Wolfman to win this year’s award, according to a police officer, the green bill trail led straight to the robber. Mr. Wolfman was found by the authorities on the other side of the road trying to get rid of his bank-robbing suit and, of course, to patch the hole in his bag.
Conclusion
The man was taken into custody and charged with bank robbing. He refused to tell the authorities about why he robbed the bank. ‘Guess there’s a lesson to be learned here – if you want to rob a bank, then don’t!
