
The Austin father claimed his son might have got injured after he climbed on the sill using a tall mattress.
The Austin authorities declared that a 32-year-old man was recently taken into custody after several eyewitnesses saw the man tossing an infant out the window. According to the arrest warrant, the Austin father declared that he wasn’t at home and that his son probably climbed out the window using a mattress.
Austin Father and Wife Told Conflicting Stories to the Authorities
The story that ended with 32-year-old Fnu Faizullah being taken into custody began on Tuesday afternoon. A woman, who was preparing for a picnic outside Faizullah’s apartment, recalled hearing loud noises coming from the nearby building.
When she approached the apartment, she saw someone kicking down window screen. Several seconds later, a pair of ‘dark male hands’ could be seen holding something resembling an infant.
Despite the screams coming from inside the building and from downstairs, the suspect threw the infant. After taking 20 feet fall, the infant hit the pavement, near-missing an AC unit. Another woman who witnessed the even rushed to help the injured toddler.
According to the first eyewitness, the woman picked up the toddler and ran to the nearby parking lot to take the infant to the hospital.
The authorities declared that the child was stabilized at the hospital. Even though he took quite a fall, the tyke had a couple of bruises, lacerations but no broken bones.
After the incident, the law enforcement agents went to the apartment but could find no one at home. Later that day, Fnu Faizullah, the father of the baby was questioned about the incident in the parking lot.
Conclusion
The man told the authorities that he was going to see his son at the hospital. Upon being confronted with the incident, the Austin father told the cops that his 2-year-old son was left alone at home and that he must have fallen out the window after climbing on the sill with a mattress.
However, the injury on his arm, probably from knocking over the window cover, led authorities to believe that the man was lying.
After speaking to his wife who admitted that the man might have tried to hurt the infant, the officers arrested Fnu and charged him with injury to a child.
