All ASUS mobile devices will have AdBlock Plus set as default.
Remember the first time you were surfing on the internet? Most of us don’t, but we tend to agree that, in the past, net surfing was somewhat of a nuisance given the fact that we were constantly bombarded with numerous ads. ASUS ships devices with pre-installed AdBlock Plus, saving you the trouble of downloading a plug-in.
On the subject of ads and the use of advertisement blocking software, there is much to be said. However, there tends to be a slight controversy surrounding the use of AdBlock. Most of us would hail the plug-in’s accomplishment, while others, more specifically site administrators see it as a threat.
And for those sites relying solely on ads in order to continue operations, this program may be considered a not-so-good omen.
Now, on the subject of mobile devices, ASUS, the tech giant, has come forth with a surprising declaration. According to several spokespersons from ASUS, all mobile devices produced by the tech giant will be shipped out of the factory with AdBlock set as default in ASUS’s mobile browser.
So, if you’re planning of buying an ASUS mobile device anytime soon, bear in mind that ASUS is planning on saving the trouble to download AdBlock compatible light mobile browsers, such as Firefox or Chrome.
Simply fire up the application and the AdBlock plug-in will pop in a corner, telling you that the application has already started blocking intrusive and unwanted ads. For most of us, this will be a major relief because one would grow tired the ad’s constant fire barrage.
And might we say that this will also be good for our system. Why? Because some ads, apart from coming first-degree eye slaughter, do have that audacious pleasure of draining our device’s physical resources. As such, in many cases, you’ll find out for yourself that although you have a capable device, in terms of RAM memory, the constant ad attack will make your device move much slower than the proverbial slug.
ASUS ships devices with pre-installed AdBlock Plus, in order to give their customers an edge when it comes to surfing on the web. Again, you won’t have to do anything in order to get the plug-in up-and-running, because it starts by default once you fire up the device’s installed browser.
Also, do keep in mind that many sites depend on ads in order to function. So, every now and then, please make an exception in AdBlock Plus.
