Great news for all music lovers out there. Things get even better! In an online post, Echo developers announced that Amazon introduces Yelp to Echo Bluetooth speaker.
Starting this Friday, owners of a Bluetooth speaker will be able to download the update for their device. Yelp is an online search service that is able to provide information about small businesses and it can also help you get online reservations via the SeatMe online service.
You can now use, Alexa, Echo’ very own Cortana or Jarvis, in conjunction with the brand new service. Apart from telling her to shuffle your tunes or to change the track, you can now ask Alexis to search for nearby diners and relay the results to you.
From now on, you don’t have to rely on a computer or on a smartphone to find out good diners. You just have to fire up Alexa, and, using the magic words, you can ask her about what is available near your. By connecting to the Yelp search service, Alexa can better index the results providing you with accurate information about the next family night-out.
Also, when searching for an inquiry string, Alexa can take into account even diner’s rating when making the recommendation. You can also use her to get further information about that dandy restaurant such as its address, phone number, email address, working hours and many more.
But those aren’t the only features available in this new update. Although Alexa was designed for this kind of user-experience, it is even more versatile than that. You can use the virtual assistant in order to search for local business ventures.
Amazon introduces Yelp to Echo Bluetooth Speaker in order to further increase the device’s functionality. Echo speaker isn’t just a plain old speaker used only for music. It has become a very versatile gadget, able to perfectly mimic your pc’s or smartphone’s software capabilities.
So, from now one, when standing there, listening to your favorite music and you either get hungry or you want to spy on the competition, remember that your answer is just a couple of clicks away. Or rather a couple of questions away. In order to active this feature, install the new update on your device, click on settings, scroll down until you see Alexa app, select current device and then click on the option to add you address.
