Amazon hitting consumer hardware means a complete new positioning on the emerging markets. The e-commerce giant is now looking for new masterminds to develop a first PC game, by posting a job offer on Gammasutra, in order to popularize their initiative.
The studio was already poked by Kim Swift from the famous Portal and Clint Hoking, a gaming genius who worked for Ubisoft.
Amazon has already made some steps into the gaming development direction, with some brand new purchases. The developer of the last Killer Instinct and Double Helix is already a part of the expanding Amazon team and news will soon arrive with some more peaches to be savored on the gaming table.
It seems that this e-commerce giant is getting ahead itself with new initiatives to force the graces of consumers and take over some other giants that like to play hard in the business. Amazon is committed to building extended teams that could enthusiastically use Twitch, the AWS cloud and the technical innovation that appears on a continuous basis, to essentially make gameplay evolve.
Amazon declared that they are trying to build up a team of top talents for one of the most ambitious PC game projects, using the top technology now available on the markets. They have already taken part in the development of highly popular games such as Half Life 2, Left for Deat, Dota 2, Infamous, Halo, Shadows of Mordor and The last of Us.
Amazon has its ears and eyes wide open to recruit some fresh eyes and ears to develop a new platform that will add even more value to the already highly developed company.
